Through all our years of being in the caravan, we have been to many different sites. One of our favourite caravan sites that we have called home for the last few years has been Churchtown Farm in Gwithian, overlooking St. Ives Bay. A late afternoon stroll can gift you with the most amazing sunset the UK has to offer. With the lighthouse in the distance, the view is quite spectacular.

The first thing to point out about Churchtown is that although the name Churchtown sounds like a Walking dead community it is the complete opposite. Its only 300 metres from the beautiful Gwithian beach. You can stroll on down to the beach from your caravan in a matter of minutes. We always come across the surfer dudes when we are down there and take a nice leisurely stroll to one of the great cafes just off the beach. Godrevy Cafe is fantastic. As their impeccable reviews will prove. We love taking a 10-minute walk there for a lovely breakfast.

Godrevy point is a 30-minute walk from the site as well where you can have a great day sightseeing and watch the lazy seals relaxing on the beach. If you have any children in your party they will love it. We recommend taking some binoculars with you to get a better view as the best viewpoint is from the cliffs above. Also, make sure you time it right so you are there at low tide. High tide the beach disappears and the seals go for a dip!

We have visited so many caravan parks across the UK and Churchtown is honestly one of the cleanest sites we've ever visited. There is no rubbish anywhere and the lawns are always mowed very well. It's a beautifully kept site which is one of the main reasons we go so often. The shower block is immaculate and when you're away from your home to have a shower so clean at a site is absolutely brilliant.

Friendly and helpful staff make this an added bonus and we think if you are looking for a place to park your caravan in Cornwall you should check it out!
